Nyköping City Library consists of a main library, two branches, and a book bus that visits over 90 stops in the municipality of Nyköping. We have many visitors of all ages who read, borrow media or computers, study, and participate in our events. We are a public library and thus have an important democratic mission concerning everyone's right to knowledge.

The City Library is part of the Culture and Library operations, together with the units of the Culture School and Creative Meeting Places. The division we belong to is Business, Culture, and Leisure. The division's mission aims to provide the municipality's residents, businesses, and associations with good service and a wide range of experiences and activities for development and growth. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a book bus driver and library assistant. The role includes driving our mobile library, the book bus, on some of our routes. You will also assist our visitors at both the main library and the book bus with their inquiries about books, among other things. Furthermore, you will work administratively with the media of the book bus and participate in planning for the book bus together with the rest of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

A C driver's license is required.
Experience working in a library is an advantage.
It is essential that you are a safe bus driver. It is also important that you enjoy meeting people and should be engaged in the democratic mission of public libraries.
You should appreciate environments with many different people and various kinds of questions. Accuracy and good teamwork skills are necessary traits, and you should have very good knowledge of Swedish.
